This week we got an addition to the marketing and communications team here at Pingdom. Magnus Nystedt joined us as a blogger and his first post went live yesterday.
In his previous job, Magnus was the editor in charge of PCWorld, Macworld and GameWorld Middle East. This meant he spent all his time thinking, writing, and talking about the latest gadgets, as well as explaining complex tech to users.
He also talked about tech on radio in Dubai every week as well as reviewing gadgets and giving his – sometimes controversial – views of tech in national newspapers and TV.
In an interesting twist of fate, Magnus grew up in Västerås, the town where Pingdom is located. He even visited the very building where our office is, back when it was still a metal works factory. After a 14-year adventure outside of Sweden – in Scotland, the U.S. and United Arab Emirates – he’s now returned to join our team.
He’ll mainly be working with our communication and blogging. Welcome, Magnus!
